Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Scotland
Kelso 2019 Weekend Carting
Companion Day Carting Results - Judge; Dave Biggins
It was an honour to be invited to Judge the carting classes on Sunday at the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Scotland Championship Show Weekend. The carters always put a lot of time and effort into the displays and events they do and this weekend was no exception. I particularly enjoyed this years opening displays on both Saturday and Sunday. The dogs were all well behaved and were a credit to their owners.
Decorated Carts (9 Entries)
All entries were really good and it was hard to pick the top 5.
1st George with Bailey
This was a nice cart with unusual contents, the bread caught my eye and the clothes of George the handler, very smart.
2nd Kath with Elba
Bright clean flowers made the cart stand out with the classic Swiss attire of Kath the handler.
3rd Kylie with Odin
Kylie supplied the Judge and the other entries with a Swiss decorated cake, Mmm nice.
4th Nigel with Misty
5th Margaret with Tessa
Fancy Dress- Theme Steam Punk (4 Entries)
The owners must have put in hours of work to decorate their carts and dogs, well done.
1st Chris with Norman
A very large amount of work had been done by Chris in making her outfit and the cart and Norman looked very impressive, the cart had a chimney which even had smoke coming out of it!!
2nd Caroline & George
It was a close decision between second and third (both steam punk) I gave 2nd because the finish of cart presentation was slightly better. Her costume was very smart and she looked well turned out.
3rd Di and Torrin
Really good effort
4th Elaine and Rosie
Best Cart Turnout
1st Elaine with Rosie
Elaine's cart was the better presented being clean and shiny, Elaine was not in Swiss dress.
2nd Kylie & Odin
Kylies cart was not quite as well presented as Elaine's but she was in Swiss dress. It was a close decision.
